Join us on a Majestic tour of the lower South Island taking in some of the most iconic views found anywhere in New Zealand. On our majestic Queenstown tour we'll explore the lakes and pristine areas surrounding Queenstown, making our way down to beautiful Te Anau and Manapouri. A highlight is the Doubtful Sound cruise where you can spot dolphins, fur seals or rare penguins.
Our Majestic Queenstown Tour starts and finishes in Queenstown or Christchurch transfers by arrangement.
Make your way to Queenstown, the group are meeting at our accommodation in Queenstown and will go out for dinner in the resort town tonight.
Departing Queenstown to the frontier town of Glenorchy, a true slice of New Zealand paradise at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu. Surrounded by magnificent snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes and rivers, ancient beech forests and at the edge of Mount Aspiring and Fiordland national parks, the area has provided the backdrop for many films. We will take our time travelling the route as there are so many photo opportunities and views to admire. We will visit the nearby settlements of Kinloch for lunch and later Paradise, both known for their stunning scenery and tranquil setting, a special experience. Tonight, we will stay in Glenorchy to enjoy the evening and a meal together.
Three lakes in one day. Today we will drive along the length of Lake Wakatipu to Lake Te Anau, after a bite to eat we will board a beautiful 19.7m motor sailer built from teak, oak and mahogany. Step back in time to an era where elegance was common, and adventure was the basis of the daily news. Enjoy a gentle cruise in stunning scenery with attentive crew, tasty treats and refreshments, great information, stretch your legs ashore for a walk to a hidden lake on an island on the lake, and enjoy going under sail on the homeward journey. Lakeside accommodation in Te Anau tonight with a meal out together.
This morning there is time for a spot of shopping in Te Anau, then we will go looking for takahe at the Fiordland bird sanctuary on our way to Manapouri where your Doubtful Sound Experience starts with a short cruise across Lake Manapouri. A coach then takes you across Wilmot Pass, travelling on a sub-alpine road through dense rainforest. Arriving at Deep Cove you’ll be met by your crew. As you cruise through some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery, the knowledgeable nature guides will provide commentary ensuring you miss nothing, be it the pod of resident dolphins, fur seals or rare penguins you might encounter. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious three-course buffet dinner Mingle with fellow travellers, savour some of the fine wines and if the skies are clear in the evening, spend some time gazing at the stars.

Awaken to the sound of bird song, enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast and get ready to spend the morning exploring other parts of the fiord, returning to Deep Cove, and the trip back to Manapouri by midday where your guide will meet you to travel back to Queenstown. and on checking in to our accommodation, there is free time to explore Queenstown in the afternoon. This evening we cruise on the 105-year-old TSS Earnslaw to enjoy a gourmet BBQ dinner at the Colonel’s Homestead on Walter Peak Station overnighting in Queenstown.
After breakfast this morning we will say our goodbyes, or you are welcome to travel to Christchurch with your guide
