Christchurch
8am
8am pick up from your Christchurch accommodation.
On leaving Christchurch we travel through the Canterbury Plains, passing through small country towns, wide open plains where you will see sheep, crops, deer and dairy cows.
Taking the southern scenic inland route, the landscape changes from rolling hills to spectacular towering, majestic snow-covered mountains and turquoise blue lakes. We stop at Lake Tekapo for photos and lunch.
See the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd overlooking Lake Tekapo.
See the picturesque Lake Pukaki with spectacular views of Mount Cook (New Zealand’s highest mountain) weather permitting.
Travelling further south we arrive at spectacular Queenstown the adventure capital of New Zealand for your overnight stay.
Overnighting Queenstown
7.30am pick up from your hotel. Today we visit the beautiful Fiordland World Heritage Park where we stop at the picturesque Lake Te Anau for photos and a bite to eat.
Travel to the spectacular Milford Sound an ecological and natural wonderland that will take your breath away. Enjoy an exciting adventure exploring the mighty Fiords on a Milford Sound boat cruise where you can see waterfalls, dolphins, seals and much more, returning to Te Anau, enjoy an evening glow worm tour 7pm for 2.5 hours.
Overnighting Te Anau
8.30 am Depart Te Anau, drive to Queenstown
Enjoy the scenic drive back to Queenstown stopping for photos along the way, to join a cruise on the famous Earnslaw vintage steam ship with a BBQ lunch at Walter Peak restaurant, this is a piece of Kiwi heritage. Cruise times 1pm to 4.30pm. In the evening you might like to enjoy exploring the beautiful alpine town.
Overnighting Queenstown
You may enjoy a short morning drive to Arrowtown the historic gold mining town, stroll around the many quaint shops and see the historic houses along tree lined streets that Arrowtown is famous for. Drop off in Queenstown at 11am or Christchurch at 7pm.
