This morning we drive to the Abel Tasman coastline to meet your boat for a scenic Abel Tasman boat cruise from Kaiteriteri Beach to Totaranui, your guide will meet your boat to drive you to Pohara, with some interesting stops along the way.

Today we will go with our local guide to the Cobb Valley and Mt Arthur Tableland, hear about the forming of the glacial dam at the Cobb, gold mining and asbestos mining pioneers in this geologically rich part of New Zealand.

Today we will go with our local guide to Westhaven Inlet also known as Whanganui Inlet. We will hear of flying crayfisher men, early sea faring relic discoveries, coal seams exposed in sea cliffs just waiting to be chiselled out for passing ships to use, coal and gold mining exploits and the day the power came on in 1969, plus many other tales.

Enjoy a 6-hour guided Farewell Spit Eco Tour which includes driving to the most northern point of the South Island to see the cliff top dunes of Farewell Spit and the migrant wading birds on the intertidal plain, a tour not to be missed. Enjoy dinner at the local tavern tonight to round off a fabulous day of nature’s wonders.

Enjoy a walk through the Milnthorpe Scenic Reserve tour in the morning before visiting Te Waikoropupu Springs (or ‘Pupu Springs’) famous for the clarity of the water, enjoy a short walk on boardwalks around the springs.
Get a spot of lunch in the heart of Takaka, then we visit the Ngaire Caves at the top of the Takaka Hill for a stunning cave tour before returning to Nelson city.
We stay the night in Nelson and enjoy a farewell dinner.
