Thanks very much for organizing the trip to D’Urville Island. It was a wonderful trip. Cathy & Craig are super friendly hosts. They cook great meals and provide comfortable accommodation. Highlights were a trip around the Island with interesting stories from the local guide. And great driving on the rough roads by Geoff. The fishing trip was another highlight with lots of beautifully cooked fish for dinner that night!.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to D’Urville Island and the Sounds. The ladies on the tour were all lovely and all made me feel very welcome. It was a great group. The accommodation was superb and we were extremely well fed. The freshly caught fish at D’Urville Lodge and the mussels in Havelock were amazing. The tour was all I hoped it would be and enabled me to fill in another unexplored part of NZ.
We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the fishing we had lots of laughs and I came home thoroughly refreshed and looking forward to another trip further down the track. We are passing the word around about how fantastic it was.
I really loved the trip. An excellent birthday gift to myself. It felt Like I had been away for weeks when I returned. I had not experienced the outer Marlborough Sounds.
The Tour was so varied, lots of stops, great views, and excellent accommodation. Information was interesting. I liked the small group too
